The main goal of the project was to create a space dedicated to individual recreation in the area of Lake Drużno in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
This space is located within a nature reserve, which is also a habitat for diverse and endangered bird species. Due to the necessity of designing in this specific location, the design process focused on analyzing bird-friendly architecture. The main objective of the project was to create a facility with minimal potential impact on the safety of the habitat. The architectural concept included safeguarding the building's windows from potential bird collisions by covering them with bamboo stems. Alternative methods of interior illumination were employed in the project, based on Japanese shoji panels, to reduce the use of glass.
Special emphasis was placed on harmoniously integrating the building's structure into the architectural context of the reserve by limiting its height and designing a horizontal glamping structure hidden among the reeds.
